It's not the size that makes people jump; it's the idea. The Mouse is a neat wee knife but to the sheeple it is a (a) dedicated folder with a (b) one-hand opening blade. Period. Around here people would give you the looks even for a Ladybug or 91mm SAK... On the other hand, small- or medium-sized multitools somehow don't fall into the "OMG A BLADE!!!" category. Go figure...
Most sheeple-friendly is a SAK, of course — the wider (more layers/tools) the better!
