Your new Tool
on: June 08, 2009, 10:01:47 AM
Howdy toolfolks,

I already introduced myself in the Leatherman forum, but thought it'd be a good idea to do it here as well.

Lets start with a few crucial statistics:

Name: Brian
Country: The Netherlands
Interests: Anything with lights, buttons, movable parts, that has tight tolerances, goes fast, is dangerous, and any combination of the aforementioned.
Obsessions: Modern Materials (especially fiber reinforced), absolute perfection.

I'm about to receive my first quality multitool (A Leatherman Charge TTI) and would like to thank the members on this forum for giving some sound advise on what to pick

Fingers crossed mate.

I've read all about the problems and reaaaally hope I receive a proper functioning one :) These tools shouldn't be suffering from those problems at the price that they sell 'em for (€160 = $221USD).

I wouldn't worry too much. I'd still say that the quality problems are pretty rare. They sell thousands of these things, and I've only heard about a handful of problems. My bet is that you'll receive a perfect Charge like all of mine have been. If you are unlucky, then that's where that warranty you paid for comes in to play.

It'll be cool  :multi:
I used to come here a lot.
