I wonder why this polymer bat is better for "hitting" than a solid wood bat or aluminum

Sure it doesn't rust or rot...but I've seen bats that are decades old that are still solid hitters..

There is one "tire tester" bat I've been contemplating getting just for fun; The Ozark Thumper!
