After three years of faithful service on my keychain the old Arc-P is out and my new titanium Arc AAA is going into service. My old Arc-P is a fantastic flashlight and will be included in my edc rotation for sure. I would highly recommend any of the Arc flashlights and yes, they are worth the $$$. The Fenix E01 may look like the same flashlight, but anyone who owns an Arc will tell you just how much better the Arc is.  :tu:

I really miss my Arc! It was definitely one of the best AAA lights I ever had! Once I get my Fenix L0D I think there's going to be some competition!

Not to rain on your parade, but the old Arc looks about 10000 times better.

You think?

I like the look of them both, but the Ti one is Ti and that's all that matters.  :D

Never seen or heard of an Arc before. I will have to dig some information on them :)

How so? Not want to talk down on the ARC, and even never handled one. But When I was looking for a AAA light it did seems at that moment that the Fenix LOD-CE had much better specs. Or am I missing something here?

I don't have one but I believe it's the build quality that everyone raves about.  Nice torch GG.  :tu:

That's what I like about it, it's tank like feel.  The LED has a nice tint as well.

Reliability is the Arc's strength.  :tu:  The thing is built very well and like I said, I had it on my keychain for three years without any problems. Forget the specs, they don't mean anything to me. I only need a single stage flashlight to be happy and the Arc does everything I need it to do. The Fenix E01 looks good, but looks at the circuit board.  ::)  It looks like it was put on with chewing gum!  Just so you guys don't think I hate Fenix, I have a SS L01 and I love it, but it's a tad too big for keychain carry, IMO.

BTW, I think the Arc is dead sexy!!  :D

Ah ha, dead sexy! Well, can't argue with that can I?  :D

But seriously, I'm curious about that build quality of the Arc, it's sounds interesting. Like I said before, never handled one myself and they seem not to be very common around here (not that I'm an expert and alway on the look out for lights or anything like that  ::) ).

How do you compaire it with your LD01 besides the estetics or other subjective things? Did your Fenix not work/fall apart at some point or something like that? Or is it just the looks and UI that you're not happy with?

Most Arc's are single stage lights so it's hard to compare to anyone else. Most people want a ton of bells and whistles, but I like the Arc becuse it's very well made and has enough throw for me to see where I'm walking at night and is just a great all-around keychain flashlight. Here is a picture of the Arc I had on my keychain for almost three years:

It's the one on the top of course.  :D  I'd like to see what a Fenix E01 looks like after three years of keychain carry. Also, take a e01 apart and look at the circuit board, I don't trust it....

OOps, I just realized I used the same picture.  ::)  Anyway, you can see the condition of Arc and it still looks good. Like I said before, the specs mean nothing to me.

I see, thank you  :) Sounds like the perfect light for you!

I carry my LOD-CE in the side pocket of the sheath from my wave for two or three years now, so I guess it has not as a hard life as it would have on a keychain. But droped it on the floor lots of time and it still works perfect. Will see over time how it turns out.

I like the high output of the Fenix personaly, but I can see the attraction of the Arc. Very nice little light  :tu: And TI is always cool  :D

Personally, I'd love to get my hands on the old one, but the price is far, far too ginormous for a keychain light. Hell, I don't spend that much on protective gear.  :D

Do you have to wait still for ARC’s  BTW ?
I wouldn’t spend that much on a key-ring flashlight anyway; it’s very much a last resort light for me, and the Fenix costs about 4 or 5 times less. The single AAA battery lasts ages and ages. You can buy them easy and you can get pretty colours for the missus. (Don’t know if that’s a good idea or not!) .....and it can be stood on end for candle use.
