With StopLock disengaged, the pliers cut and grip normally. Engage the StopLock lever and the plier jaws don't close all the way and you can use the wire stripper as a precision stripper for 12, 14, and 16 AWG wire.

plus i didnt know that the hex drivers of the handles were a different size each side
