Am I the only person who would want Victorinox to do this?

Ok let me start out by saying I have been a Victorinox user since I was about 10 years old.   I have EDC'd a Tinker for the past 15 years with a Classic SD on my keychain.   I also carried a medium sized Leatherman knockoff.   Well when it was time to upgrade the LM knockoff, I was hoping to replace it with a SwissTool, but they ended up being to big for my liking.  I am now currently EDCing a Leatherman Juice XE6 and a Victorinox MiniChamp II.   Why hasn't Victorinox made medium sized SwissTools like the Juice series?   I like the Juice and all but the quality isn't the same as the Victorinox stuff.    If they could make one with a removable belt clip sheath (another reason I picked the Juice) I would buy one in an minute.   Anybody else feel the same way?

Welcome to the forum.

You are certainly not alone with that thought as it has come up on here a few times in the past.  The general thought was that maybe Victorinox hadn't released such a tool so not to interfere with their SAK line up.

I know I'd certainly like to see one.  :tu:

Welcome to the forum mate.

I know where you are coming from, it does seem odd that Vic only really make two multitools (a few variations of each though).  As Ben said perhaps they think it might interfere with the sales of the SAKs but i doubt it would.  I'd love to see them come out with another plier based tool.

maybe they are concerned they'll end up with another Autotool or Sportsratchet flop.  :-\

The thing I'd like to see Vic do,would be to come out with something that would go head to head with LMs Squirt P4/E4,and Gerber's equivalents.

The Spirit is Victorinox's medium-sized multitool.   It is quite a bit smaller than the Swisstool.

The XE6 is shorter than a Spirit, but much fatter.

The quality of the Juice series is OK but not outstanding,  some of this is inherent in the design.

I'd like to see what Victorinox could do in a Squirt form factor.  Interesting that they don't even try.
Perhaps the Squirt is so good that even Victorinox doesn't want to try to compete with it.

I like the Juice Series a lot and find their quality more than acceptable but I would still be interested in a Vic equilvalent especially if it was a slipjoint (we have starnge laws on locking blades in the UK).

Welcome to the forum :)

I want something between the Squirt and the Juice size wise but with a wire cutting head.  Actually I'd settle for any of the decent manufacturers making one.  No the E4 doesn't do it for me.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I for one would LOVE a Juice sized Vic. Or even a lighter thinner Spirit with tools similar to the LM Kick, with a pocket clip of course.

Thanks to everybody for the warm welcomes!   I am glad I'm not the only person who wants a Juice sized SwissTool.
