It Was A Very Good Day
on: July 02, 2009, 05:27:07 PM
Yesterday was a great day. It started with the arrival of my Coleman Pro Lock, I had just about given up on it as it had been posted over 20 days ago from the US via Priority Mail. Most items get to me with in the week from the US  .The box looked like someone had been sitting on it & had a large tool sized gap in it :o . Happily every thing was still inside.

Then a couple of hours latter the postie hand delivers 2 parcels  :gimme:  :D :D

First one is a Zippo/Case Fixxit tool & matching novelty Zippo torch $16us. The tool is great but the torch is a massive disappointment. The package was described as new but the torch/flash light's battery has leaked into the case. The worse part is the torch & battery pack is one unit. After some research it looks like the Ziplights were made in 1996-1997.So my chances of finding a serviceable light/battery insert are slim. Crazy that Zippo did not use conventional batteries. The set came with paper work with a Zippo part number for ordering replacements. I have emailed Zippo & asked about part availability.(not holding my breath)

Nice haul. Tough luck on the lighter though.

You get mail in a week from the US to Australia! :o

It taks on average about 2 weeks for me to get stuff from the US.

hell mate .. nice job on the  multitool axe.. i have to say i love those things.. they are realy weird tools..
interesting ive found they were made by at least 20 or so companies  for quite a long time. in japan , germany, the u.s. and england, mostly the american ones are larger than the others and ive seen some with quite alot of tools on them.. nice to get it in the box though..
it is always interesting what one can get on evilbay, recently i got a swiss pocket watch with a german penknife on the  chain, new in the box for 20 $ :D..
sometimes though you get ripped off..  but mostly if your sharp..
