How easy are Elsener signed Swisstools to get and how much do the go for ? I know Bob has one and perhaps he would be kind enough to take a couple of piccys for me  ;)

Sure thing Dunc ol' buddy, I'll be happy to post a few pics. Sorry that I don't know too much about these signature SwissTools though. I was not even aware that they existed until a couple years ago, when someone at BladeForums spotted this one on eBay. Lucky for me they posted a "heads-up" thread, and I was able to obtain it for quite a reasonable price. Around $50 U.S. if memory serves.

Mine is new in the box. (Or rather, the special packaging that we discussed earlier.) There is no paperwork or special markings on the package that would indicate that this is a special tool. As a matter of fact, the only thing that differentiates this from any regular SwissTool is the Charles Elsener signature on both top and bottom.

ps ~ It has the old style plier head and the original round hole in the pivot bracket, which suggests it is several years old.

There is a Soldier model available with his signature.

When I saw you had replied to this thread I got my hopes up and thought you were going to say you had one in stock  :D
  I have seen the Soldier model and thats nice as well but its got to be a swisstool  ::)
