Used the Charge ALX (along with a 15mm, 19mm and 21mm box end wrenches) to replace the nozzle on our oil fired on demand hot water heater.

I've never understood why people need to heat hot water.  I prefer cold water heaters, or possibly a luke warm water heater.

I used the heavy wire cutters on my TTi to cut down a spring inside my recharchable toothbrush. I had just soldered in a new NIMH rechargeable battery which was slightly longer than the old one. Worked a treat - both the cutters and the replacement battery.  :multi:

The water in my solar powered boiler unit system solution system is usually pretty hot, but still not hot enough. So I also have a hot water heater :)

Used my Cybertool to take apart and modify my brand new Sennheiser headphones as per this video . Went very successfully and I now have clearer less muddy bass response and a slightly more open soundstage. 10 minutes well spent.

Thanks for posting that.  I might have to pick up a pair of 555's.

They are quite nice. My laptop can't really drive them properly, but they sound great regardless. That mod didn't make the bass any stronger like some people claim (though I could very well just be at my sound card's limit, not the headphone's) but the bass responds a bit quicker if that makes any sense, and def. sounded noticeably clearer. Opened up the sound stage a hair too so distant sounds are that little bit further away sounding. Subtle changes, but well worth the trivial time and effort.

You should try a Turtle Beach Amigo II (or a Micro II).  It's not "audiophile quality", nor is it quite as nice as a dedicated headphone amp, but for the price it's a huge improvement over onboard audio.  It' very portable and drives higher impedance loads well.

Man, there's no better use for a CT34 than that!  Fun to do and very exciting when the job is done.  I'm envious!  :tu:

Had a MUT arvo , used the scrapper/awl for pilot holes for the hooks for my LEATHERMAN banner hanging in my shed  8) 8) 8) cut some wire too  :D. I forgot the awl does not lock & held the tool wrong & it almost folded onto my hand .

Used the MUT's hammer + a bit of scrap too loosen the SMURPHING pool filter's SMURPHING locking collar , worked a LOT better than my usual 1/4 brick + broken wooden stake  :D :D. Actually made me smile which is a rare thing when it comes to me & my pool  ::) ::)

Went to investigate a couple of guys who were rope climbing off the cliff and we were concerned with their safety .They appeared to know what they were doing and we offered them some extra safety tips . One of the guys couldn't undo a Carabiner he had used for climbing , they stretch after being under load and the locking collar can be hard to undo . The Wave made short work of it and he was quite gratefull .

Starting in the morning:

Opened letters, fixed glasses, tightened screws on drawers, opened bottles, tightened more screws on a door, tightened screws on a table, opened a can, cut up paper, cut up string and rope (I kinda went out of my way to do this job just to test the hook on my Tti which hasn't seen too much action just yet), opened a lid on a can, cut my nails and tightened the screws on the same drawer again.

Used the Serrated sheepsfoot on my LM ST300 to cut through a sweater or some kind of fabric that got tangled up in my bobcat brush-mower.

My Swisschamp scissors got a good workout today. Cut the straps off an old waist pack to use the main compartment as an organizer inside my Maratac BOB. Works perfectly for added storage in "The Bag". I also cut apart an old back belt from a previous job for it's velcro and elastic straps. Working to see if I can make some more pockets and such for my bag to keep things neater.

Well, today in the lab, one of the techs came to me with our ancient Geiger counter.  The batteries had been in it for at least 10 years.  Problem was, the handle over the battery cover had been bent and the cover couldn't be fully opened to remove the batteries.  The tech didn't know what they were going to do, so they came to me.  :)

Using my EDC Cybertimer, I partially disassembled the top cover enough to rotate the handle out of the way, and removed the batteries.  SAK to the rescue.

Pic of the Cybertimer:

Our Geiger counter looks similar to this one:

Stranded away from my dedicated tools, I used my LM Crunch and a old Hioki 3211 Pencil DMM to change a defective color wheel and metal halide lamp & ballast for a custom fiber optic chandelier . After it was working again, I could not stop gawking at it, as it changed colors  :D. Simply enthralling to watch
