I used my ST300's blade to cut all sorts of stuff today.  I also used the hard wire cutters to snip some coat hangers to make car stereo clip release tools.  I was trying to repair my Mustang's faulty stock stereo, but it looks like it is shot and I have to buy a stereo now.  Kinda puts a damper on getting the car last week, but I will make do.   :-\

BTW, that coat hanger didn't even mark the replaceable cutters on my ST, and the lower hard wire cutters just chewed right through.  Best cutters on any MT I've owned.

replaceable cutters?
I had no idea.

Although I had Spirit X and SAK Solo in my pocket, I wanted to give a try to my new combo Squirt P4 and SAK Manager...

Job description - changing a plug on small fan heater, the old one has burnt
Job difficulty - 3/5 - due to melted plastic and bakelite in plug there were bit hard to unscrew
Job succes - job done in aprox 15min, heater working (I don't smell any burning... Yet!!  :D )
Used tools:
1. Squirt P4 - blade, large flat screwdriver, wire cutters
2. SAK Manager - blade, flat screwdriver on nail file (one screw was recessed in plastic housing), wire striper on bottle opener

Score:

P4 - 5/5
Manager - 5/5

I'll try to get pics of the bathroom... :-[

The wife and I were at a local eatery having breakfast this morning. She was looking at the newspaper ads and saw some coupons she wanted. Normally I would pull out my Buck Vantage pro, but thinking that was to large I remembered my Leatherman Style. So I used the knife (easier than the scissors) and cut her coupons with out drawing the attention of the whole restaurant. +1 Leatherman Style
The only bad thing was the nail nick chipped my finger nail wish it was toward the blade tip more. >:(

Vic Executive was used to fix a coworkers glasses this morning.  Tweezers put the screw back into place then, flat head end of orange peeler screwed it back into place.

Not today, but yesterday.  No pics, as I was at work and in a huge hurry, plus I had my employees around and needed to keep them motivated.

I was assembling a new fleet of rental bikes for my Resort, (I hate this part of my fleet, they are a pain), and most of the work was just a Hex key and a ratchet set, but the brake cables kept slipping out as we were trying to adjust them, and the little cable end that was "crimped" onto the end kept shooting off like a rocket.  I used the crimpers on my ST300 to properly crimp the little buggers back on, probably about 9 of the 15 bikes needed this.  I also used the pliers to rip out the staples holding the boxes together and the really awesome serrated blade to cut any and all zip ties on the bikes, as there were many.  All in all it was a fun little project and I got to show off my newest addition and get a feel for how it takes work.  Despite the weight I always carry the ST300, and it has helped me quite a bit.

It's not "How exciting"

It's "Oh, what a feeling"

Used my Niel special SAK to aid in soldering a new 9volt battery end onto my laser rangefinder I broke. Note to self... Never just pull on the battery to remove it from its connector.

I attempted to fix a buzzer actuator in the rear of one of my Buses at work.  Turns out we are missing wires so I have to wait for new wiring and a new switch for it.  ST300 did a great job of disassembling the panels, stripping wire, and crimping splices.

And that's the real beauty of MTs.  They may never be the best tool for the job but when the right tool fails you've got workable backup.

Today I used my SwissTool to hold banana plugs whilst I soldered leads into them.

I didn't do it, but Kim used my tinker today to open her stubborn microwave pizza wrapper.  Grrrr...it was a tough battle, but she prevailed.  Silly girl, she actually asked me as she was wrestling with it, "Don't you have your knife?"  LOL!
