Last night, I used the cap lifter on my new Sivertech Climber to dispatch the cap on a Stella Artois. Then, it's friend showed up, and I had to use the Climber AGAIN, to defeat another dreaded cap.

My Powerassist got used to replace a curtain rail. Unscrewed screws, pulled old rawlplugs out and trimmed new ones flush with the serrated blade. Nothing too taxing but it did great.

Good use, I haven't heard anyone using a SOG too much lately.

Used my TTi to cut some underlay for laminate flooring.  Also used the Philips bit to tighten a screw on my dads mitre saw.

Today I decided to carry my TTi, and I'm happy I did.  I finally had a use for the file!  I used the file to straighten the edge on my snow scraper so I could clear more than an inch of the window at a time.

Special duty for the SwissChamp opening up the box with a Red Sox ball cap in it. Nothing but the best for Champions and light packing tape.

I trimmed the ends off some push pins so they would work better on my corkboard at work.

Gerber Balance:

My next door neighbour collared me this evening to help him carry the ENORMOUS headboard for his new bed upstairs. Phillips screwdriver used to remove a door so we had more clearance for getting the headboard jammed on the staircase

After trying a few different ways we decided it simply wouldn't fit, so plan B was to unwrap it and look at the construction to see if it was dismantleable. Knife and scissors used for unwrapping it, flat driver for lifting upholstry staples so the pliers could pull them out and we could ease back the fabric to check what was beneath. One solid board  :-\ Tomorrow we'll be carrying on with the plan, but we'll be needing a tool the Balance doesn't have .... circular saw

Nope  :-\ The board is MDF, so next plan is carefully peel the backing fabric and part of the faux leather front. Set circular saw blade 1mm less than thickness of the board and cut from back. Bend toward front to bend/break the board effectively hingeing it so we can get it upstairs. Unfold, trim any untidy edges on the break, and stitch the back with reinforcing strips, replace and restaple the fabric to cover the damage ... and then eagerly await the screams through the wall in the middle of the night when it fails, folds double and smacks him in the face

I'm already looking, no need to poke  Which model though? I'm looking at all of them but I am thinking the RS. I would prefer one with scissors, that's my only must have.

Mission accomplished, other than the smack in the face  :P and the Balance was called on again for staple removal and pulling fabrics taut

A very good reason to carry a SAK with scissors then. I do that with my LM products w/o scissors. I'll carry my S4 since I can't find my Micra. I think it fell off my keyring  it's the oldest tool I own with date codes. My Huntsman & SwissChamp are older but no dates.

Used my Sog Powerlock to cut a bunch of wire and crimp ends on the wires for a Ford 8N

Figured out the seat beat cutter makes a sweet wire stripper.

I used my Rebar today to screw screws with the screwdrivers, make holes with the awl, pull screws and tighten some nuts with the pliers and cut tape with the blade.   :multi:
