Doing IKEA gymnastics with the LM Rebar
Opening packages no problem

The LM nr 2 phillips driver has always been great! But I bumped into a screw that had badly cut threads and needing exceptionel :D force to screw in. This made the Rebar flex so much that I took the time to find an actual philips driver.

I made a simple hanging hook from some stainless 2mm wire ... to suspend some childrens stuff from the ceiling.

MTs are great for the hobo solutions and working with metal wire in general.

I ordered around 10m of paracord and it arrived recently. Had some free time to make a slim ripcord bracelet (quick deploy) and wrapped the handle (also quick deploy style) of my Maxpedition Mini.

Used the Spirit to open the package, cut paracord to length and singe.

Some easy saturday tasks putting up some lamps

The wire stripper on the Rebar works fine on the thinner cables

MTs are excellent for these light duty tasks.

I had to tighten up a cabinet door in the kitchen that has a pull out tray for a trash can. Some screws weren't installed correctly so I used the Phillips driver on my Spirit to tackle them. A couple tabs were pulled apart with my LM Crunch to install a screw. I also installed a locking mechanism on another closet door in the kitchen and the Crunch was used again to pull the tab whatever direction was needed to make everything line up.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

My newish Skeletool was put through a bunch of tasks today... yes I needed to try this hate/love tool

Cutting plastic

Drilling with a mini awl (modified from the flat head bit):

Trimming cable ties with the pliers

Cutting net (and opening a lot packages and straps)

Opening a bunch of large packages with the skeletool.

One-handed blades are new to me (they recently became legal in Denmark).... but they are AWESOME for this work (alot of in/out of the pocket).
These tasks dulled the blade. The blade went from shaving to non-shaving sharp, but does still cut. The 420HC is easy to resharpen anyway.
The serrations are surprisingly good for clumping plastic wrap  :2tu:

Its a great thread

Cutting up cordage today and recovering old buoys and poles. Silty barnacle infested cordage dolls the blade quite fast... but the serrations kept cutting  :tu:

These smoothed out serrations (by stropping) are really growing on me. Smooth cuts but still much more aggressive than plain egde. The blade is also decent for wood cutting (not really for carving).

My Surge saved the day for my wife today!  Got a call that her truck wouldn't start on the way home from work.
Turned out to be the clutch switch, the plastic bumper had broken and the switch couldn't engage.  Sliced up some random pieces of plastic with the Surge, and duct taped them in place on the clutch pedal. Problem solved!
I'll be driving her truck though until our mechanic can finish the repair---apparently my wife doesn't trust vehicle repairs performed with a leatherman and duct tape!

multitools and duct tape hold the world together
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

To pull the tip off the green end of a dual highlighter pen that kept leaking, so I could empty it out and stuff it with tissue. Still one good end though. I don't like to waste useable things.

I used my multi-tool today, a SOG Pocket Power Plier as a pocket filler.  I did not use it to do any tasks.

Drilling drainage holes in a box - so the stuff inside does not dissolve and rust to much.
