Another reason to buy swiss I suppose.Yes yes, I was probably misusing it, but they're so brittle! I've misued the cap lifter on a sak plenty of times and never had this problem.
showing off my swiss spirit to my boss who carries an SAK pioneer. other than that it stayed in the holster.

I carry both. i don't know why...I used my spirit's serrated blade to cut some zip ties (no sawing needed, it's that sharp), the scissors to cut label tape, the small flathead to pry open a coworkers briefcase, and the saw to see the inside of a golfball for some reason. The large flat head/cap lifter will open my beer after work. I used my pioneer to scrap some undesired hardened crap off my bottle of hot sauce. BTW I actually have the pioneer rancher, it has a hooked pruning blade instead of a can opener. I have the spirit for the can opener, and it makes a great staple removal tool.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I feel just as welcome here as I do at EDCF. I have emerged blinking from my house as EDCF went down for maintenance this week, and I realized there were other "homes" on the net. I look forward to many many posts here. BTW, the inside of the ball I cut open was solid pink composite. it is a two piece callaway ball, meaning the core is one piece and the white cover is the second. My spirit saw ate right through it. If you plan on doing this, please secure the ball in a vice prior to commencing the shredding. My bandaid proves that Vic saws are sharp and golf balls are wobbly!
Maybe I should go back to "UnSub".

Finally I get to write something that I think is noteworthy. I use my MT pretty much everyday for little stuff nothing major but today was different.Today I went to Goodwill and found a printer stand in good condition for $9.00 so when I put it in my cart (which is too small) it stuck out so it was hard to move around aisle and people. So I got the bright idea of taking it apart with my ST 300. Turned a couple screws here and there and now I have four pieces that fit nicely in my cart.People looked at me a little strange but that's okay I got my stand and got out of the store without breaking anything or injuring anyone.
My friend was giving me a tour of his property, and while we were walking we happened upon a spot that required us to duck very low under some mesquite branches. I pulled out my spirit and used the fantastic saw on it for the first time and cut back 5 or 6 branches, all between 1 and 3 inches thick. The spirit performed great. I also used the pliers later to lift a barbeque griddle into place and used the flathead/bottle opener to open our beers. I love this tool.
