LEGO!

I was playing with some bricks I got from the LEGO stare today, and discovered that the Blast is the perfect LEGO dis-assembly tool.  The pliers break apart bricks when they're stuck down to a plate.  The smaller flat head screwdriver is great for breaking chunks of bricks apart in your hand.  The only thing I didn't use the Blast for, because I only had my c301 out at the time, was slicing open the tape on the Pick-A-Brick cups, and had I had the Blast out, it's knife would have done as well.

So, I used my Blast and c301 today to play with LEGO.  :D

:tu: always good to see a tool giving a person some amount of convenience in his life, no matter what the chore is.

Idc how old you are, you're never too old to play with legos!!  I have a lego tower on my desk right now that reaches the ceiling.   they make great room fixtures :tu:

Oh yea, my real post-

Family & I cleaned out the garage and I had to part with some of my 69 tons of bike parts :ahhh
Powerlock got maximum usage removing brakes and levers from the frames.
I also had to slash half a dozen stolen basketballs, which made no sense to have cuz we don't own a hoop

Passed my Charge AL to a friend for him to open a bag of peanuts. Well, he was amazed at how sharp the 154CM blade is. :D

Ours are spoiled little furballs that we have had since they were babies.  Love'em!

Back on topic, I used my Wave's pliers today to tighten a peephole on a Ballroom door in the Hotel.

Farm work today:

1.  Had to perform maintenance on the Rototiller. Guppie, LM ALX and MAK-1 to remove old vines and a piece of twine, AND open the gearbox to add gear oil.

2.  Leatherman ALX used to adjust chainsaws to cut down a few trees, damaged in the winter storms.  Saw used to cut Florabunda trunks.

3.  Folding Razel used to cut twine to tie up broken board fencing (which happened when one of the trees fell on it :ahhh).

Yesterday night I was at my friend's working place helping out for an evening event. My Skeletool CX helped take the foil off about 40 wine bottles and opened 3 old- school bottles of Coke. :D

Used my Wave to remove a plaque from the wall and to reinstall it.  The phillips worked great!

I opened a can of beef stew for lunch, which probably sounds (and is) mundane, but it was actually an instance where I was glad I carried my MT's.  The cans I usually eat from have pull tabs, so I don't have to worry about it.  Unfortunately, the one I packed didn't have one.  For an instant, I panicked, wondering if I'd have to go hungry.  Then I remembered:

:tool:

I have a SAK.  It has a can opener.  I may not go hungry.  And I didn't.  My Super Tinker's can opener made short work of the lid, and that doubly impressed me since this is the first time I ever completely opened a can with my SAK.

So, mundane as it may be, my mini-adventure in lunching has reminded me of the true value of always having a multitool. :multi:

You should have tried with the ST300's pliers - that would have gotten a reaction :D

I do a bit of maintenance work for a number of friends and clients . Went to my Lawyer's office in re: a disfunctional deadbolt . Got my light locksmithing loadout ready , forgot one minor detail , a file .

Found a burr behind the strike plate was galling on the bolt . Spirit file to the rescue ! I even had redundancy , as a Vic. Ranger " lives "in my go bag .

I tackle a wide variety of work so , I'h always using different load outs . This type of stuff is really what Multi's are all about ! They can't / don't / and shouldn't replace dedicated tools , but are handy for the unexpected .

Nothing wrong with Charlie and Lola, one of the best kids shows/books out there IMO. :D

In a similar vein I used my Kick to change the batteries on my daughter's camera.  Two screw-down battery covers, on a Kids toy?  I ask you; who comes up with these things? ::)

Pulse got a small workout today.  Used the blade to cut about 50 strips of double sided tape for an M&M's store in Six Flags.  Blade also cut (scored) some 1/8th pvc signs, phillips and flat heads were used in some fabrication work, and pliers were used to hold some nuts in place for turning screws.
