Leatherman TTi vs Leatherman Ti handles

I read on another forum (http://www.knifeforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/789432/) that the Leatherman TTi has solid titanium handles. Is this true? Or are the handles the same as those on the discontinued Ti?

From what little I saw of Raukodur's new TTi, it has the same titanium scales as the Ti had. The rest of the handles are regular stainless steel.

if only it had solid titanium handles :grin:

I think if you look at the photos I posted in the preliminary review i did of the TTI you can see that the titanium is used to produce the outside of the handles, not the entire thing.

I wish they or someone else would make one with solid titanium handles. but then I couldn't afford it if they did!

The Shot Show rumor I heard was that a version of the new Freestyle would be made with all-titanium handles. (They will probably want to sell those things by the troy ounce!)
