Who owns a Buck 110?

So who owns one of these, the icon that has spawned a trillion million cheap copy offspring? I have to admit to liking mine a great deal  :salute:

Sorry, just realised I put this in the wrong place, could a kindly mod please move it?

The 110 was my first really good knife. I got mine when I was 10 or 11. There will always be a special place in my heart for the 110, but with so many other great knives out there the 110 seems like an antique.

Oh, I do, I do!!  I love it!  Definitely not a people friendly blade but a really work horse.  It's pretty much retired right now, because I love my Salts, but it's a timeless classic.  Love it!

It has a definite old school appeal for me, that's why I got it really. Carrying it in public is not an option here though.

I only have two user Buck knives, a 110 and a Gent; for weddings, the Gent is a perfect, indiscreet folder, while for everyday use, the 110 - which I have *cough*procured*cough* from my father* along with a Case Pen Knife.  Nonetheless, since getting him a Squirt P4, he's not looked back at his pocket knives.

* - He abuses his blades; he has an Old Timer and a Case Stockman with broken blades... of course he's only now beginning to take care of them, after he's seen the prices for new, unused ones. -_- I'm just saving his other two quality knives from seeing the same fates. :/

I have 1. It's in the kitchen and I use it all the time. It's my "ugly work" knife.

I've had a few Buck 110's over the years, one of the all-time great folding knives IMHO. I currently have just two, an older standard production Buck 110 I carried while in the Army and this one........

I'm a big fan of Yellowhorse customs......they can turn the average into something truely remarkable. But they get costly. I have a few others from them, small lockbacks from their Silver Series based on earlier UC lockbacks. Not as nice as their Buck customs though.

Wish I had more.

I have several of them all from '68 or '69...the 110 was my first "quality" knife too but it took me years to learn how to sharpen it decently...then again I was only 8 at the time :P

I always wanted one because it's one of the icons of american culture, but the $50+ price kept me away.

I always wanted one because it's one of the icons of american culture, but the $50+ price kept me away.

I am pretty sure that Tim can get you one for a better price then $50.00 plus he will ship it to you.

I remember when 110 was all the rage and kids were wearing them and hiking boots at school (yes at school shows how old I am).

I wanted one and saved me money and bought a CHEAP knock off version not knowing the difference.
Then when I finally got my first 110 I stoled it from my best friends cousins house.

I wish I knew a way to make that up to him now.

Then my first wife bought me a Buck 112 Ranger which I thought was even better because of the smaller size.

I had a 110, and gave it away.  No, sorry, sold it for a song at a flea market.  Could never get into it.  Not a fan of knives that big.  Anything that is too big to stick in my pocket comfortably is too big for me.  Plus I'm not a fan of locking knives.  I am a slippie type of guy, so, it never really appealed to me.  It was cool to own a piece of history, but I decided it would be better off in the hands of someone who is actually going to use it.

I have one, the finger grooved one. If it weren't for the Manix, the 110 would be my hiking foldoing knife.
