Don't know why but I've never taken to the idea of having a bullpup air rifle.  Certainly not at the price of the Bobcat anyway! :o  Each to their own of course, if that's what you like the look of and you've got the money then go for it. :tu:

I'm quite a fan of bullpups. Never fired a bullpup air rifle, but I do like the compact nature and lighter feeling fore end :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

For me it's less about looks and more about usefulness. I'm 5'1 and have an extremely short LOP. Unfortunately most rifles don't fit me and the ones that do usually leave me so stretched out that it becomes uncomfortable and difficult. I can forget about trying to swing a full size rifle quickly or carry one through the brush without dragging the barrel in the dirt. It's all about form following function in my case. They fit me the best and are the easiest for me to maneuver about with. I realize I'm in a fairly unique position though.

Yeah, the money thing is killing me. For the price of some of these air rifles I could have an amazing long range (1 Km+) powder burner.

Evanix from Korea do a couple of bullpups as well. I can relate to what your say about height vs rifle size. I don't know if you can get them where you are but there's the BSA Ultra, and the Brocock Concept, which are super compact

Brocock Contour is the super compact version.  I've seen kids who are able to manage the size of that one. :)

 That's the one I was thinking of! My shooting partner has one as back up gun. It's like a Nerf gun!

I've been eyeing the Evanix Max but I have to draw the line somewhere lol.

Brocock and BSA lost me at 12 - 15 fpe. Looking for something just a bit more powerful than that.

Funny I had a play with an Evanix on Sunday, I was very impressed with it. It was the Rainstorm and they have sorted the heavy bull pup trigger

Necro revive! Ahh ahh.
So I found a way to increase the velocity of my air rifle. I won't go into details on how but before it was shooting at 1100/1200 fps. Now it's at around 2000/2200 fps. Quite an improvement :)
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Just be sure to check the legality of that before you do anything to it!

Here's a current pic of my nickel plated Weihrauch HW35.  Upgraded with an adjustable butt pad and replaced moderator with muzzle break.  Need to get my better Hawke scope back on it though.

Cheers Grant.  She's been playing up a bit lately, but I think I've gotten to the root of the problem and it's hopefully a simple fix.  When she's on form she's one of the most accurate rifles I've ever shot. 8)

It's a air rifle so whatever goes. I've checked and as long as it's not gunpowder or bullets I'm good ;).

Here air rifles are legal without a license provided the muzzle velocity is under 495fps.  Any more than that and you need a firearms license.

My new toy! I've had her for three weeks now,but tonight was only her second time on range. Gotta say,so far I'm very impressed! The basic package costs about £270,including a scope. For the money you get a two way adjustable trigger(length of first stage, and release weight),and long struck 30mm piston. Action is smooth.trigger isn't as good as a Weihrauch Rekord, but it really isn't bad! Still need to start working on the adjustments :)

I got to shoot with a Bobcat last week and it's definitely a great rifle.  Still not my taste, but I really can't say anything bad about it. :)

Nice shooting, and great setup!

Megan and I were out shooting a couple of days ago, but we shot more than eggs.  Here is Megan's reaction to shooting a Firebird Reactive Target with the Crosman 781 that Jie sent me.

She had a blast.... literally!  :D

I just wish I'd brought the GoPro instead of almost blowing up my phone....   :ahhh

In the original video you hear Megan freaking out because the reactive target caught fire after it blew up and she thought my phone was burning!   :D

In the end, no phones were harmed in the filming of these clips.... :D

My new AA S510, Gareth and I both agree we don't like the scope on it.

I can attest that it's a cracking rifle. :tu:  I'd still get a lower set of scope mounts if you can though mate, even if you do go for another scope.  I think the height of the scope above the comb means we were both having to lift our heads off the stock and making it hard to find a good sight picture.
