Partial Solar Eclipse, Philippines

Yesterday July 22 at 9:22 am to about 11 am, we had a partial Solar Eclipse in the Philippines the longest in this century.



Multitools are the best thing that happened to mankind since the invention of the wheel!

I watched it on the news earlier, really great view for the millions of people across Asia who went out to see it... I love all celestial events like this  :D

J-sew, we used my brother's trusty old digital camera, canon a710. 1/30 shutterspeed at F4.8. we held a silver mylar filter in front of the lens so as not to burn the sensor. :D

The eclipse was also visible here in our place. BTW, I am 700 kilometers away from the place where Donald resides.

I have to give my brother the credit he was the brains of the mission that time  :)
The first time we shot it without the mylar filter it didn't work, guess it still true necessity is still the mother of innovation :D

How was the view of the eclipse there? Here its about more or less 50 to 60 percent only.
