I went with a few friends to the local Bush Plane Museum. All photos taken with a Pentax K10D and a Pentax 10-17mm fisheye.

When you walk into the museum, above, is a replica of the Silver Dart.

A Stinson SR-9 Reliant.

Some concept and artwork drawings.

A Ford Model A aircraft engine.

Mock up of a typical 1950s bush camp.

DeHavilland DHC-2  Beaver.

DeHavilland DHC-3 Otter.

A few old Ontario Ministry of Natural Resource vehicles.

Fokker F.VIIa/3m trimotor

Republic RC-3 Seabee

Flying Teddy Bear!

Aeronca Chief

In the educational center…

Noordruyn Norseman  CF-BFT

Grumman CS2F Tracker

Bell 47D

Cockpit of a Canadair CL-215 Water Bomber.

What is left of a Buhl CA-6 Air Sedan recovered and placed on display.

Part of the Forest Fire Fighters display.

It was a great way to spend a few hours.

I remember when it first started back in the 80s when all they had was one plane, and a group restoring another. It was by donation back then.

Now, it is well worth the 10 bucks to get in.

Here is their web site for the interested.

They have a 20 minute show called Wings over the North. That is something to see. You have rumble seats, mist, and wind thrown at you along with top notch sound effects. You actually feel like you are part of the show. More so because of the environment you are seated in.  :)

No. They didn't have an Antonov An-2. I am certain they never made it over here until after the Cold war...if that.
