Not much.  I handled one at the meet-up and it left me cold.  To big when folded and not big enough when deployed.  I wasn't thrilled with the ergonomics either.  :-\  Not a bad tool but a bit disappointing unfortunately.

For me I'd say, try before you buy.  It's got lots of fans and I had no issue with the fit & finish, so it can't be all that bad.  Different horses for courses as they say.  It just left me disappointed.

I was able to handle the two Skeletool models at the local Cabelas store.  Plier ergonomics were very disappointing - there was just no comfortable way for my hand to grip and squeeze down on the pliers.  The problems were the bit driver and the awkward carabiner/bottleopener thingy.

I'm hopeful that Freestyle and Gerber Crucial will fit my hand better than Skeletool.

+1  :tu:  I tried a Freestyle the other day and I did not like it at all (too small for me) rather have a Juice.

I traded for a Skeletool (too cheap to pay what they want ) I liked it all the way up until I tried cutting a cable with it, the jaws jammed and I tried to pry them apart it just folded.

I literally used my Soldier to pry open the jaws.

I tend to swap between both Vic and Leatherman . Its a bit like YIN YANG . For me I can't have one without the other . I have my favourites in both brands .But more importantly I can see both the short falls and plus sides of both .

Dunc

but if one arm was tied behind his back.... :P

I agree with Dunc, I'm so glad we have both and I have both :salute:
