Yeah, they started putting the hole there a couple of years back.  They just kinda forgot to tell anyone.  ::)  I think a sewing needle would get lost down there but I haven't tried myself, a big tailors pin seems to be what it's meant for.

Cool when you find an extra feature you didn't know about isn't it?  :)

Only on a few models that I currently have.

Vic Swisschamp, Vic Ranger, and a Vic Silvertech Spartan.

I haven't looked at the cybertool 34 yet, but I would be surprised it if wasn't on there.

No small hole on their 111mm line that I can tell. I have checked the Rescue Tool, WorkChamp XL, Jumpmaster, and New Soldier.
A little Leatherman information.

Just use a relatively fat needle, that way they only go in so far anyway :)

Quite honestly I do almost all of the sewing in this house.  It's not that I'm any good ('cos I'm really not) it's just that my wife is even worse.  :D

I tore my trousers half way through a shift at work once.  Some staples and a bit of tape later and the tear was invisible :)

And before you ask, I caught my pocket on a door handle...  Nothing dodgy about that...    >:D

I like tactical sowing - making sheaths and such, but I doubt I could get two legs of a pair of trousers looking the same!

It took me a little while to find the pin hole on my Swiss Champ when I first had it, but then it was nearly 20 years ago!  ::)

I took a sewing needle, bent the end to around 70° and it fits perfectly to the slope of scale and doesn't fall in/out (you need to soften the needle with a lighter first or it'll snap).
