Cheaper SOG Revolver

Cabelas is now offering a cheaper version of the SOG Revolver in 440A steel:

I do like the basic concept and design.

But, I'm sort of put off by the 440A.

Wonder how many branches it could cut through,
before that saw would be too dull to cut anymore...

it does look like an interesting tool. The one available for sale near me is the gut hook version and aus-8 steel. it is also $99.

I have the original one, only complain I have is the damn serration on it. Actually bought it when I heard it's going to be downgraded.

Not sure why they don't simply use 8cr13mov, which they use in other fusion knives and would be on par with the old aus 8.
