I think for all social settings, the Alox SAKs are the classiest MT with the least chance of frightening the faint of heart.

They also cover something like 60% of the situations where I need a tool. Lack of pliers being the only shortcoming.

Plus, they look like jewelry and are a delight to hold.

The Cadet is a great little SAK isn't it? I think I need to get my hands on one of those green ones at some time, they look awesome.

I'm almost positive you are right about that so I'm not gonna argue. I saw this at Target and just couldn't resist the price. It had been opened so it was a lower price. But they also had the Tinker (I think it's called) and a Spartan and a Hiker. I wanted all of them, but this one was the only one for now because of the price.

You are so right about them being a delight to hold. Feels so good in my hand. And the blade is awesome!

I know the feeling. I still don't really consider myself a SAK collector, but I have to wonder at why I am so stubborn. I currently have 39 models, and have another 26 on order.

I just finished acquiring the sterling silver Vic Classics.

I am now starting to eye the SwissChamp odd scale collection. I know there are two woods, two horns, and a mother of pearl. I might have to wait till the funds permit though.

Not to mention wanting to put in a much smaller order from Felinevet (Tim).

And there is also the special edition 125th jubilee ones from Smokey Mountain Knife Works.

Lots that I eventually want...just got to bid my time.

I do have an eventual limit though. I can fit 30-40 Saks per small glass shelf. I have two more to go. Once I reach my goal I shall stop.

That is the danger.

I hear ya! I was thinking that I'd like to have each of the colors of these, but i don't know. I probably will, but I like to think i have some control. haha, yeah right!

It just occurred to me that my EDC for a while is going to be really colorful: blue Juice SC2, Yellow-handled Spyderco Saver Salt, and my new Green Cadet. Very cool!

I haven't hunted down specific models like I do with the MTs. I tend to see something and buy it upon my liking it. With the MTs, I will buy something because I don't have it yet...not sure if that makes any sense. With that said, I have been recently changing my game plan in regards to SAKS (last 2 weeks)...so possibly I need to get with the times.
