I got my Pocket Murse design made this last week....just getting around to pics now.  This pocket organizer is about 2.5 inches by 4.5 inches.  It has a zipper pocket and an exterior pocket.  The inside has three elastic organizers (I don't know what to call it) to keep items from falling to the bottom of the pouch.  It is meant to be carried in a vertical position in the front pocket....at least that was my thought on it.  My only complaint is that I didn't have them make the exterior pocket thick enough to hold my SOG PPP.  So instead I have a AAA light and a pen I cut down a bit in that outside pocket.  Inside I carry a couple anti-wipes, bandages, Tylenol, fingernail clippers, and a peanut lighter.  It all rides rather comfy in my front left pocket along with my clipped SOG PPP.  To have this custom made for me cost $8.  I think thats quite a deal.

Hey! Thx Woz!

You've probably got it all figured out by now but I'd say the MaxPed EDC is too large for your cargo pants pocket. Mine gets tossed in my work bag. It's got desk-stuff in it, pens, staples, sharpies, paper clips etc. It's pretty loaded and it's A+ for that use. As for jacket or pants, maybe not so a good fit.

I have the CC Diplomat too. It's a smaller form factor, softer, and will hold a little less but it might be the one for you. It's not built like a tank like MP but its a nice organizer and cheap to boot. But, you can't get it, right...

Condor's have caught my eye but I don't have one. Wonder if that'd be too large too...?

Hope this helped some. See ya Woz!

Hey, it that my Tinnie up there? Don't like velcro?!   :twak:

Thanks roscoeba! I love your reviews!

Guess I´ll get an Urban Wallet, but I´ll keep an eye on the Maxpedition thing, for when I return to my larger winter EDC bag. Guess it will work nicely in there.

I've been thinking something like this would be rather handy:

Trouble is, I'm not sure of the exact size etc

Yeah, camo  :D

Just found out more info:
DIMENSIONS      150 x 125 x 35 mm
WEIGHT    198 grams

I'm very tempted, and they can be got for cheaper here and there too - made in the UK so that probably only applies here. I have a couple of other Webtex pouches and they seem to be of pretty decent quality.

I got my Maxpedition EDC Organizer some weeks ago - just HAD to get one. It sits im my EDC bag every day, or, if I´m without my bag, it sits in my glovebox. I normally carry my "normal" pocket EDC and my bag so there´s lots of redundancy. In short: In my Organizer is all the heavy-duty stuff where my pocket EDC is not enough.

Here is what I carry in my EDC Organizer:

A Vic Spirit Tool
Sharpie, Zebra Pen and Fenix E01
Creditcard sized USB stick (have another one in my wallet)
Spyderco Police full serrated
Victorinox Dual Sharpener
Victorinox Cadet
Cricket Lighter
Moleskine notebook

I have some bandaids in it too, but forget to put them on the picture. Will add some metres of Paracord if I can find some around here.

A lot of Web-tex stuff is British Army issue, so that tells you a bit about the quality and value for money they give you. I've got a couple of bits and bobs by them and it's good stuff. It doesn't feel as substantial as the Maxpedition gear, but let's be honest, the MaxPed stuff is a little OTT (not a bad thing IMO, I love it).

Just quickly loaded it up with some items, I'm sure I'll play around with the location and add and subtract some things.  These are mostly back-up or supplemental items to my EDC.  This organizer is something that I'll just toss in whatever vehicle I'm using that day or if I'm  riding with someone, I'll bring it along.

Contents:

Zebra Expanding Pen
Zebra F301 Pen
Sharpie
Bark River PSK with Ghost Jade handles with black liners
Leatherman Kick
4Sevens Quark 123
Benchmade 1100-2 Tactical Pen
Ipod
Notebook
Fox40 Whistle
Emergency Cash

You won't be disappointed. The Maxpedition organizer truly stands head and shoulders above the others I own in terms of quality and design.

I have the CountyComm version, and it is a fine bit of gear. And I have one from the surplus store that is a lesser quality version of that. Both of these are great though, and I really like them.

But..

The Maxpedition is just so well built. And it has the multi-level elastic, which is just good design. All of the others are fine for pens and pen shaped items. Good for small lights and maybe some types of tools. But the Maxpedition can hold all manner of things, from MTs to cables, scissors to sharpening stones. And while it is a bit bigger, and not so good for a pocket as the others.. I think it is the perfect bag organizer.

My advice: get  the Maxpedition one.. and then get the CountyComm or Spec Ops one.. and then get a few cheap knock off ones..

Yep. They are just like SAKs and MTs that way. One is just not enough.  8)

Well I was in B&Q this morning (DIY chain store) and spotted this pouch for a bit under £4.  Saft to say I had to pick it up and have a play.  The Quality is nothing like what you'll find on Maxpedition gear, but it doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart either.

A very quick load out, lots of tinkering still to be done I think.  It'll also take my camera but for obvious reasons it's not in the shot.

A few carry options, it even comes with a shoulder strap (although I think that would leap straight into the 'man purse' class) but this is just going to de dropped into whatever bag I'm carrying or thrown into the car.

I got my maxpedition organiser yesterday, just got chance to try it today.

I really don't know how you guys manage to put things back into it once you have taken them out without taking the organiser out of your pocket, unless you have massive cargo pockets or something...  Just trying to get a pen back into its elastic strap seemed to take ages.

Yeah, the size means I wouldn't want to pocket carry it (but then I normally have a SAK in my pocket so there's not much room for it) but as I always have it in my bag that's not an issue for me personally.

Having the pocket clip fixed in place means that I can rotate the switch end with my thumb while holding the emitter with my ring finger and pinkie.  Add a little bit of lube on the threads and it's now pretty easy to switch between the high/low settings.
