I once watched a soccer/football game that went on for what seemed like several hours, during which neither team scored! Bunch of guys kicking a ball in this direction.....bunch of guys kicking a ball in that direction. Repeat ad infinitum. Hour after hour. :P It was mind numbingly boring, but I was with a friend who had bet money on the outcome. The announcers spoke in excited tones the whole time, but if the sound was turned down it was as thrilling as watching paint dry. How can it be considered an exciting sport when nothing ever happens? :think:

Anyway, the Chiefs won!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!! We're not gonna be the worst team in NFL history. That's a relief. Now I can stop sacrificing small cute animals.  :D

Ok, I know that I've stated that I don't really care for American football, but I do have a couple of teams I like and occasionally get caught up in a game when Kim is watching.  Having said that I have a question...Can someone please tell me what is up with Denver's uniforms??? Last week and this week they are wearing brown and yellow...what's up???

it's for the 50th anniversary of the American Football League
all eight of the original teams will wear throwback AFL uniforms for two games in 2009 ;)

The Chiefs beat the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers!!!!!!
Man, what a game. The Chiefs have stunk for years but last year the owner cleaned house and started over. And it's finally looking like we're improving.

I personally like pre-season because it shows me new players and how old ones are doing and it just "starts!"  :D :cheers:

you never know, Smith might come into his own this season. with Bills and Fins in the division there is always a chance to put up some wins and go for the wildcard

on the other hand, I'm irked by the notion of my dear Steelers going for #7 this year. that is at least a year away

I can't believe the Bears got Jarred Allen! (still shocked) I looooove defense (old guy here) so I'm pretty geeked and can't wait for the hitting (personal fouls :facepalm: ) to begin!

yea but not every hit is dirty. and it should be called equally around the league without certain players getting better or worse treatment on either side of the ball

did anyone see the 49er Ravens game? and did you see the Red Zone ad/gall? :facepalm:

we read it was only them doing it but you know they (NFL) are testing it for everyone and if they put that on every game I'm not watching football! :rant:

big giant "Toyota" ad in red (instead of the all red 20 yard-goal coverage) was pathetic and a joke!!

I did not see that game, but my local news mentioned the controversy.

argh! I just saw the Bears game (delayed for me) and they had the AD in the Red Zone!!! (different company ad)  :rant:

so they are experimenting with "some" cities. YUCK!
