Storage issues...I think I got it fixed...for now.
on: August 19, 2009, 06:04:27 AM
Due to the rapid expansion of my multi-tools, and then the SAK collection. I have ran out of storage room other then placing them in a drawer somewhere hidden from sight.

Well I got an idea and went to the local dollar store and got some shadow boxes. While there, I saw these neat little frame holders. Then I searched for materials such as coloured foam, metal wire wrapped in paper, etc..., This is what I came up with after an hour’s time.

I can hang them, or display like in the photograph. I am quite pleased with myself.

Looks good but you might end up with a dust problem if they are not sealed by glass or something.

They look good  :tu:

Have you thought about using magnets instead of wire?  Don't get me wrong, the wire doesn't look bad, just throwing an idea in there.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

They look good.  I have some of my knives also framed in shadowbox frames (a few balisongs) and hanging on my walls and I like the look of a framed knife.  Definitely try to use magnets as Neil suggested.  You can also use very small brass pins to hold the knives in place.  For some frames, the knives might be able to hold in place just by pressure from the glass and backing board.  My balisong frames are like that and they're very secure.
This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David
