I just got both a plain edge and serrated edge Tenacious.  I know that the thumb test is not the best measure of sharpness, but both blades feel at least as sharp, if not sharper than a Delica I have to compare them to.  The polish on the blade is not as high as the Delica, but they are full flat ground and swing open very smoothly, easier than the Delica in fact.  They are a bit bigger though, so I may have to add a Persistence to the collection.

Yes, they are made in China but don't ignore these knives because of that.  They are very well made.

I have always held out that things can be very well made in China, it's just someone has to mind the shop so to speak.

Unfortunately, many companies look to China as a way to minimize costs to the extreme, and the results are the crap that we see and so commonly associate with China.  Looking at Chinese architecture will show that China has had some of the finest craftsmen to ever walk the Earth, even while many of the rest of our ancestors were still eating each other!

Love my Tenacious but this Persistence just looks a little weird to me ???,  the handles don't look that much smaller and the stubbier blade makes it look funny.  After using a Tenacious I think the Persistence would make me feel a little ripped off, it also cost more than my Tenacious.  If the quality is anything like the Tenacious it will be a very well made knife for the price.  But all the same I'll have to pass on this one.

Its not the Chinese manufacturer's fault but the companies look to China as a way to minimize costs is at fault. Example a Chinese manufacturer can make a 100 dollar product that is comparable lets say to made in Europe product but it can manufacture that said item for only 30 dollars but crappy, most manufacturer choose the 30 dollar version! :P
Multitools are the best thing that happened to mankind since the invention of the wheel!
