I'm not trying to be a smart ass but do these sound like something a sane rational person would say? He seriously needs help. LM123, get help. Seriously.

I received an email from him a couple of days ago that I'm not going to share here, but it shows that he's just a kid who needs some direction and time to grow up. He is OCD for sure, but heck.... anyone here that is a collector has some OCD traits!  :D

Maybe, either way he needs a dose of reality. I know we all love our multi-tools but they're not the most important thing in the world. 2nd or third maybe but not 1st.  :D

It appears that not only has he not learned his lesson, but that he is as full of the smelly brown stuff as ever.  So, I issued a warning...

Nikko, if you are reading this (and I sincerely hope you are) I would suggest that you start at least pretending that you have changed before you try to ask people to give you a chance.

That's our boss!

If for example, he shows us proofs that he's under counselling or is seeking medical help, and still wants to join, would MTO  accept him? He is only human. If there will voting in here, I'll vote 'NO' :D

Maybe.  If LM123 wanted to just talk about multitools, I'm sure most guys here wouldn't have a problem with that.  The biggest problem with him is that he constantly wants to trade, doesn't listen, lies, breaks promises and tries to rip people off.  He knows how some guys on here feels about him (I'm sure he can still read this thread) yet he doesn't care or won't even make an effort to change.

If he comes back, he'll be back to his old tricks.  He needs some more growing up to do and I think MT.O is better off without him right now.

What if we wait till he is 18 and he can comeback but with restrictions like no PMs and a signature that says "Do not trade with me". Also it would be nice if he would also seek professional help before he comes back. I'm willing to give him another chance but not yet.

Are you aware of SARs ratings?  The jurys out over whether is actually causes damage but a phone connects to the network every few minutes , which is a lot if you sleep on it

One thing that wasn't made public was that after I warned him numerous times to stop trading, he continued on but told folks he wasn't trading with to "not tell Def about this."

Plus, if it was just the underage trading, I'd consider it, but how many of the posts here are from members who were screwed or annoyed by him?  I doubt that would change in the next few months.

Oh yeah, and a ban isn't a warning.  It's a ban.  The warnings came before the ban, and when the ban happens, IMHO, it's a permanent thing. Otherwise, it's not a ban.

I am, but current studies are also showing that if we weren't exposed to radiation on some levels, that we'd not be able to live as long, either... that there is some link between proper aging and the radiation we experience.  Plus, with that said, that's the /only/ way I can wake up, and eh, I'll be fine. *shrugs*

Thank you for posting that, though. :)

That reminds me. I'm sure it MAY be dangerous to have a cell phone up to your ear for hours on end, day after day but just a quick talk now and then is probably fine. However, my ultra-paranoid brother wouldn't let his son even TALK on a cell phone until he was like 8 years old because of this.

Hmm, if I were to set my phone to Airplane Mode at night, when I stick the phone under my pillow, would that work?

Check you need to have the phone switched on at all.  With mine you can set the alarm, switch it off and it'll turn itself back on with the alarm.  A handy feature if you are away from home and want to save the battery.

I believe tin foil is very effective in these instances - this is a fellow I met in Ireland who seemed to have addressed the problem wonderfully.

Just tried it with the phone turned off; looks like Airplane Mode it is, seeing as the alarm didn't activate when it was off. :/
