Alright ST 300 owners. After sometime carrying your 300 what so you think of the smart clumping system? I have to say that I kind of like the Core system better. Maybe I just got used to it. But I find it just easier to use and less annoying.

Actually only carried it for 3 days....too big to carry for what I do. Loved the tools just too big. Switched back to the Spirit, then I got the BO Wave. It now has a home in the clip on Vic sheath on my belt.

Yea it's a bigger tool than I mostly carry. But I had to give it it's pocket time.

The one I just sold on here was extremely tight, and I had hard time getting the blades out, almost cut myself once.

That sucks..does the Kick pocket clip technique of loosening the fasteners work on the 300?

No. The screws are to big on the plier pivots.

That look stupidly tight, I think the can of WD-40 he had at the start will be coming into play very soon. :-\

I remember that before Dave tightened it up.  "Floppy" might have been a good description. :P ;)

I doubt this chap wants a ST300 just yet.

Dave is yet to get his mitts on it actually.  I keep meaning to send it to him for a bit of TLC, but I like it's sloppiness in a way.  :D

Yeah, my one is kinda loose as well but I think yours wins the "sloppiness" prize.

Not exactly a shining testimonial for Leatherman was it? :P Opening the box with a swiss army knife, can of WD40 at the ready, and bulging biceps trying to close the tool. ::)

Both mine were and the BO was real tight. I prefer a tool to be tight when its new. They usually loosen up with use. If they dont I`ll find some way to adjust it to my liking.

I can't believe the guy posted that on YouTube. I would have been way too embarrased to post that video.

Of course, I am a big guy, so if I had that much trouble closing it then that would have been pretty bad.

I don't think I really need this, having the ST 200 now and the Core.. ;)
But of course, if I stumble upon a cheap BO, I would grap it instantly..  :D

Life is funny.

What are the odds of my getting both the two that I ordered from the local shop and the one I won from geoemt as part of the American Red Cross donation on the same day? I kid you not, I picked up the two and when I got home, I had the other in the mailbox.

That's pretty funny man. Hope you enjoy all of them.

Pick up two more and you've got one for every day of the work week.

finally! a video!

not mine tho

I just noticed this thread and was happy to see cliosguy linked my video to the forum.  Now I know why my video got as many hits as it did.  Thanks cliosguy,   As any of you that watched the video know, I don't claim to be an expert.  I was looking for a video on the Super Tool 300 and couldn't find one.  After I bought one there still wasn't a video on it so I decided to at least give someone a chance to see what it looked like compared to the Core.  The same story with the Freestyle video I did.  As far as the Super Tool 300 goes, I like it.  Then again I like pretty much everything Leatherman makes.   :ahhh  Thanks again cliosguy!
