This my moddified wave...

Don't know if this has been posted here...
This my moddified wave, took the parts from a LM kick.



1. Removed the bit holder from de wave and put the philips driver from the Kick.
2. Removed the little bit holder and put the long flat screwdriver from the Kick, this was a tight fit, because the flat sd is thicker than the small bit holder.
3. Bend the little tabs insde the handles, so it can close.
4. File the tip of the long screwdriver 1/16" so it doesn't interfire with the scissors.
5. Epoxy laptop to side of Wave.

All i need now is the bit adapter for the kick and a removable lanyard ring to try to make saws J-sews style

Nice mod job too! I assume you needed the longer reach of the dedicated drivers, rather than the short removeable bits?

and yes, i did use 2 security bits (T10), not dificult to find...

Most of the 5 star torx LMs are now sold out, all the new ones are 6 star torx. Just ask before you buy.

Did you also grind down the pliers?

I tried a similar modification with the Charge and ran into problems since the handles wouldn't close all the way.  The pliers didn't have enough room after the longer tools were added. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,418.15.html

That's weird.  After the same modification of the Charge, there was a slight gap in the handles when the tool was closed because the longer tools prevented the pliers from being fully recessed into the handles.  I thought the Charge and the Wave had the same basic design. 

Do the handles close all the way shut on the modified Wave?  The same as on a normal Wave?  Or is there a slight gap?  Before I buy a Wave and modify it, I want to make sure that I don't run into the same problem as I did when I tried to modify a Charge.  Thanks!
