Discussion Zack and I had
on: September 16, 2009, 03:19:47 AM
Well Zack and I were talking and I found out the Sideclip I just sold is going back to the owner he bought it from. It made me think of an idea I once had so here it goes.

Would anyone be willing to pass a tool around and take some pics of it and post its location? This is just for fun, so if you want to do it chime in and I will figure out the details. Zach is willing to donate a tool and so am I so him and I can discuss who will provide the tool.

Let me know anyones thoughts

Passarounds seem to work OK on some forums , our highly international nature might cause problems . Not a bad idea .

I have a LM Fuse I'm not using and would be willing to donate it for the Worldwide Passaround.  The way I see it working is we start in the US and each person gets it for a few days.  You then post pics of what you used it for and where it went with you.  When you are done you ship it to the next person on the list, and they repeat the process.  Then it makes its way to the UK, and they pass it around, bu they may be a little bit difficult since it is locking.  Then it goes say to Australia/New Zealand, then back to the US for a giveaway with everyone involved getting a chance to win.  So we will keep this thread open for a couple of weeks and then sort out the order.  It might help if you put your country in the thread so I can sort it out to make it cost effective for everyone.

I would love it. Being in New Mexico there aren't many places I can handle multitools, so it would be good for me just to see more models.

We should also send it sort of in order in the US. It doesn't make a lot of sense to send it to California and then Florida and then New Mexico. Less time in the mail means more time in our hands.  :)

If you dont mind we could have everyone send me there location (state and or country) and I can put a list together and post it. We could give a deadline of sunday 9-20-09. 8pm and then I could compile the list and have it ready quickly and post it?

Oh man, this sounds fun. Please sign me up! :)

For photos, at least one photo should include a famous local landmark or have a sign that reads "Hello MT.O, greetings from _______!"

Ohh and somebody better wash the damn tool after those poms touch it :P

Tinnie - Queensland, Australia

I have a suggestion :)

Perhaps we include a scapbook of some sorts so a person could do a page or two write-up/picture collage of the tools time in that country/area :)

I have been wanting to do something like this for a while, and I would be more than happy to supply a tool to do it with!
