New Wave with S30V blade?

Can anyone confirm this?
I was in a local sporting goods store a couple of days ago and pretty sure I saw one with "S30V" marked on the blade.  I might go back today for another look.

Waves are not supposed to have S30V blades, but it would be a rather simple mistake on the assembly line to grab a Charge TTi blade by accident.

The Charge/Wave blades are interchangeable...I currently have a 154cm blade on my Wave! Kindly given to me by kwakster

Would be a cool tool if it is a Wave with a S30V...reminds me of Def's Sideclip

Yeah, I'm going to agree with Bob and Tinnie and assume it's a production error and an S30 blade somehow got mixed in with Wave blades at the factory's assembly floor.   Awesome find and incredible luck(!!!) if it's a production error. 

I know tools are meant to be used but if this is the case, it would be best to not open the package, right?  A Wave with an S30 blade would be awesome but a genuine factory-sealed Wave in the original package with a blatant production error should be something you should hang on to and not open.  I imagine such an error will be pretty scarce so this could be worth something.

Nah, if it's not too expensive (although likely consider it's a b&m store in canada), I'd buy it for a user.

The store was closed today,  so will try again tommorw.  I generally don't like the wave/charge series but the more I think about a S30V blade on a wave the more I want one. .  I hope my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, the weird thing is it was on the clearance table and I only looked at it because it came with a flashlight.  One of those combo packs posted on another thread here.  Will update tommorow.

Those Leatherman flashlight/tool combos are already out?  Nice...  I must track some down.  (Need the Wave and Fuse combos.)

I'd grab that Wave asap if its got an S30v.  Then send it to me...   


Seriously though, if you keep it in box, or if you use it, it'll be worth the money IMO.
