Iconic guns
on: September 22, 2009, 02:22:41 AM
So I was watching the history of shot guns, and I was thinking the SAK is the most iconic knife and MT.  :D

So what is the most iconic gun I would say a side by side shotgun or the pump action what you ya think is?

Yes a Thompson would have been good or a browning bar.

I saw a show on the history channel one time on German WW2 weapons that were far ahead of their time. It said that the AK 47 was a copy of the sturmgewehr 44.

Either way it's a cool looking gun.

That is correct, the gas operated system on those two are real close to one another.

Besides, how many AKs have you seen with a shovel handle as a stock? :P

... Or maybe it's a Draganov?

Either way, my choice would have to be the AK-47, too, despite thinking the G11 is a sexy gun. XD

I think every country has their iconic guns...but the AK-47 is known worldwide I think.

The Thompson submachine gun is an American favorite...I remember seeing somewhere an old advertisement for that gun showing a farmer using it!

Man, I know they are illegal now, but just imagine the mess you'd make of an intruder in an enclosed space with a Thompson...
