::)

I need a rolling eye and shaking head smiley :D

The funny thing is I actually do use the Marlin spike on my Vic Helmsman frequently .

Dunc
Are you using the "Spike" more or is it the "Shackle Opener" that you use most often?

to be honest its six of one and half a dozen of the other.  This late in the boating season there are loads of knots in the ropes some of which are beyond hope .We often need to undo the shackles on the mud weights ( Anchor ) so we can use the rope as a spring line for the tide .

When you look at that and think how much they cost  :think:  Then look at a Spyderco  :o  I know they have one hand opening and better blade steel but that Alox can sit as your best friend in your pocket for years and cost a fraction of the Spyderco .

Which probably explains a lot about my ratio of Spydercos to SAKs.  That and the UK law of course :)
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

While I love the blue Alox on the Farmer, red just looks right. That said, I have a black Pioneer on the way to rotate with my red Pioneer.

Great pic texasflyfisher!

I appreciate that! It is part of my sinister plan that someone will stare at the photo long enough to push them over the brink to get a red alox SAK!  :tool:
