My kukri arrived today piccies guys piccies

Ok maybe not a full text review
Hi guys my BSI 2 kukri landed today oh what a joyous day  Thanks to  Simon at Tora blades the UK's Kukri dealer.

The specs

weight 593 grams/21 oz's approx

blade length 26.5 cm

belly..............4.5 cm

spine thickness 10 mm at where the lower and upper spines meet  and 9.5 mm at the bolster.

Ok what can I say about this kukri well for one thing I love it,now I didn't expect much for a £30 kukri but it far out reached my expectations I would easily pay £50 for this kinda quality it's quite simply a god dam bargain IMO kudos to Simon for getting this awesome kukri for such a low price.

alrighty on with the review which will contain pics and text,

The setting wirehill woods I'm quite fortunate to live just five minutes away, and it's a great place to practice my survival skills.

the kukri in it's scabbard it's feels so at home in wood land/excuse the bag at 8'oclock  :P

The BSI pattern two with Karda and chakmak.

some more pictures ok I doubt any of mine are calender worthy but I'm trying

the below picture show the beautiful horn handle and brass fittings

On to some chopping I found a 3 inch dia subject and the BSI despatched of it in seconds awesome cutting power.

Making a peg no problem this kukri handles big tasks and small ones I would have no problem using this for everything even preparing food,it's a great all rounder IMO.

It really felt at home where ever I placed it somehow  felt it belonged there,on the wall of a disused railway bridge.

resting on a lone tree,

But best place of all in my hand fit is perfect  :D

A nice touch I think it has the makers name engraved, someone here maybe able to translate for me,thanks In advance

Next just look at that beautiful spine guys I can only describe it as V shape, now if this were to be used in non lethal defence way, it would easily shatter bone or even a scull just don't put to much swing into it I believe a tap would suffice  >:D

You maybe wondering why the knunks are there well this combo would be my choice if it were allowed EDC

This last picture I was trying to capture the blade shape I'm not sure I succeeded but blades are very difficult to photo because of the way light bounces of the blade.

the fuller's are nice and straight about 1 mm deep no etched on fuller's with the Tora kukri's  my explanation of the cho may no be correct but I read the reason for it has been lost in time and so many reasons for it being there are many, anyway my thoughts on it are: The cho is there to absorb shock and my other explanation is it could act as a early warning that your hand is getting very close to the cutting edge of the kukri.

So my first Tora kukri is a gem I just can't stop picking it up and drool/smile at the craftsmanship, Simon! you have another satisfied  customer and this will not be my only kukri for to much longer,Tora kukri are outstanding IMHO

Thanks to Simon of Tora blades and the guy "whoever he is" for my BSI pattern two awesome job guys

Hope you enjoy this guys I know I had a great day in the woods to bring it to you  :D
