A very short romp into the Victorinox 111mm line.

This is by no means a comprehensive review on the Big knives of the Victorinox lineup. This is geared more as a visual guide of the knives that I currently have in my possession.

On with the photographs…

01.   WorkChamp XL.
02.   Hercules.
03.   Skipper.
04.   Rescue Tool.
05.   Hunter.
06.   One Handed Trekker.
07.   Jumpmaster.
08.   New Soldier.
09.   New Soldier 1 of 1000 USA.
10.   SwissBianco New Soldier.
11.   New German Army Knife (GAK).
12.   Sentinel with Clip.

01. WorkChamp XL

The WorkChamp XL is a beast and is mostly too large to EDC (Every Day Carry). This one is more for the collector because it has one of every tool that Victorinox employs on their 111mm knives. The main blade has a side lock.

02. Hercules

The Hercules has a nice complement of tools in a nice EDC size. The main blade is side locked.

03. Skipper

The Skipper is geared more towards marine use as evident with the Marlinspike for rope work.

04. Rescue Tool

The Rescue Tool has a few neat tricks up its bag. Designed for vehicle rescue. It comes with a few removable tools such as a window breaker and window saw for replacement when damaged. The main blade is liner locked along with the inline bottle opener/flat screwdriver. Has a belt cutter.

05. Hunter

The Hunter model comes with a short gut blade. The main blade is side locked.

06. One handed Trekker

A very common and popular 111mm knife. Both the main blade and the bottle opener/flat screwdriver are liner locked.

07. Jumpmaster

The Jumpmaster has a very nice belt cutter, and thus would make a nice emergency knife. Geared towards people who jump out of perfectly good airplanes. Both main blade and bottle opener/flat screwdriver are liner locked.

08/09. New Soldier

The new Soldier that was introduced for 2008. Note the Philips driver on the back. Both main blade and bottle opener/flat screwdriver are liner locked. Also have unique scales with soft rubber bits that give the knife a very good grip on flat surfaces (not so much a better grip in the hand). Note the absence of tweezers and toothpicks in the military models.

10. SwissBianco New Soldier

A modified new Soldier where the Phillips screwdriver is replaced with a corkscrew.

11. New German Army Knife (New GAK)

Same as the New Soldier, only with the German emblem on the handles minus the black rubber bits.

12. Sentinel with Clip

The Sentinel is a simple one layer knife with only one blade. This version has a clip on the back. The main blade is liner locked.

Well there you have it. A short pictorial of some of the 111mm Victorinox members. I particularly like this size in a knife.

I really should pick up a 111mm SAK at some point.  But the fact that they're not legal EDC here has always put them near the bottom of my "to buy" list.  Nice pics as always Chako, thanks for taking the time.

May I recommend a Forester next.  It has a cracking line up of "outdoorsy" tools and is much more comfortable to use than the OHT IMO.
I'm back!!

No clue. I am not trying to get every 111mm Victorinox model out there. I figured I had enough to put up a little pictorial guide that may prove useful and interesting to someone out there. ;)
