Hockey Cards?

Does anyone here collect hockey cards and/or know much about the values?  A friend of mine recently inherited some old (really old) and valuable cards and since he has no interest in them, he may be looking to liquidate them without getting hosed.

I've done a search on Google and suggested a few forums that I have found, knowing forum members are usually very helpful in these kinds of situations, but I was hoping to find out a bit more for him as well.

As I recall, Beckett were the standard guide for value... http://beta.beckett.com/

may want to pick up a copy of the magazine or price books

I used to collect them when I lived in NS.

The Beckett price books are basically the bible in the hockey/baseball/football card collecting world.

Should be able to find them at most news stands.

If that magazine/newspaper store still exists at Queen & Morris (I think that's the intersection), they should have it.
