Micra Giveaway!

In an act of unprecedented generosity, I am offering this free of charge to some lucky member  :o







I have cleaned it up a bit first though ;)

First I took it to bits:




It was pretty horrible. The blue polycarbonate covers were smashed and had successfully held enough moisture inside the tool to rot it nicely!

The best thing about high quality steel is that with enough time and effort - you can usually save it and this was no exception. Some before / after / during shots:




A few hours graft, a couple of strokes on the Sharpmaker and this little Micra is a perfectly serviceable tool once more :tu:

I've added a day-glo lanyard to make the pics more interesting - it's included in the giveaway  :D





So, to win it you need to pick a number between 1 and 500. Next Sunday (25th October) - I'll ask one of my kids the same question and whoever's closest to their answer wins the tool and lanyard.

Well it's better than throwing something away!

I should add that the tool has been "tuned" to my preferences, re-loctited etc, so for all intents and purposes it's like new. It simply isn't quite as shiny as a new one, but functionally, it's spot on now :tu:
