They certainly have a certain charm about them.  It doesn't appeal to me personally, but I can see them being great earrings at a Grateful Dead concert! 

That having been said, I am not trying to make fun of these or the maker, as there are lots of tools that don't really appeal to me...

Seriously, I'm just not big on color (says the guy with the yellow Jeep) for most things.  I like the Juice models, and I like the Fucrum Flame:



But for the most part, color doesn't appeal to me much.  I don't dislike it, but to me, I don't care what something looks like as long as it works.  I can appreciate beauty too, but as I have always said about cars, color doesn't make it go faster.

You know, Buell looks like it's gonna cease to exist. 

Anyway, here's the "Red is faster" proof: 

First off, note that Stop signs and Stop lights and Brake lights are red.  The rest follows:

Oh and there is a theory why Red is faster. You see, black paint absorbs all the slowing and stopping colored light and therefore is affected by the slowing caused the slower colored light. 

Red bikes shun the red colored light (that's why you see it as red) so the slowing and stopping effects of stoplights, stop signs and brakelights have no effect on red bikes. 

Think of it like waterproofing only for slowness--red bikes repel slowing effects of red light.

This is where all the confusion comes from: There is a difference between a colored light source and the color of an object. 

Red light emits the spectrum of energy seen as red--a stopping energy. 
Objects that appear red because of paint, appear red because they absorb other visible light but reflect off light of the red spectrum (and it's stopping/slowing energy). That is why red bikes are faster than all others. All other colored bikes absorb the red spectrum and it's slowing effect.
