I snapped a few pics of some of the geese that are residents of the pond across the road from my house. I thought maybe I'd be nice and share them with you guys!

Here's two of the big white geese. These guys are almost as big as swans and there is about a dozen of them living in the pond. They are also quite ill tempered, but then most geese are.

There are three Canada Geese living in the pond. They do migrate, but barely. I imagine they only spend a few days down south before they are back.

I think these are beautiful and graceful birds, even if they really are just poop machines.

They may not look like much, but if you've ever seen one of these things in flight or swimming/diving, you know what I mean.

This is the reason why all the geese are walking away when I take their picture! My "House Wolf" was a stray as a pup before I got him and he's quite good at hunting. I have no doubt that even now, at nine years old, he'd have no trouble whatsoever bringing a few geese down.
Even the bad tempered white ones.... my dog would win but I don't want to pay the vet bills he'd incur doing it!

No home should be without a "House Wolf!"

Nice pics, thanks for sharing!
Yah, geese are certainly more graceful in the water or flying in a big "V" than they are waddling around on shore.

I don't think he's that discerning. He'd be just as happy with stir fried cat, fresh duck, squirrel kabob....

I just said that in the other thread before I read this one...
Where'd you find him a puppy like that as a stray? They'd probably be worth a grand or two over here if you'd even be allowed keep a wolf these days.

Yeah, he's beautiful and he knows it. He could have some wolf in him, but I doubt it. He was just a stray mutt that the Humane Society picked up and I got a few days later.
Huskies are pretty common in animal shelters because they are a handful. And, they are about as much wolf as any man could handle.
A husky breeder actually offered me $2,000 for him when he was younger, but I couldn't sell a dog any more than any of you could sell your kids, although like you guys, some days it's tempting!
Unfortunately for both of us, he was neutered before I got him, so I couldn't even make any money pimpi... uh studding him out.
Too bad too- he's pretty exceptional.
