I got that in an E-mail a few weeks back. Supposedly the bike was doing like 80 when the car being driven by two women pulled out in front of him. Supposedly she was on her cell and not paying attention. Impact was so hard the car rolled. They found the rider crammed inside the car with the driver and passenger. They all died on impact.

Never heard it, but yeah, basically. I guess they take that hulk to schools warning people of the dangers of using a cell while driving. What about warning about the dangers of riding a crotch rocket at over 80 mph down a road where someone can pull out in front of you?

Thing is, even if she hadn't been on the phone, with him going that fast and depending on how the road/intersection was set-up she may not have ever been able to see him anyway. Though you'd think she would have heard it, but still, as much as I hate people who drive on the phone I put most of the blame on the rider.

Keep in mind, I am NOT one of those Prius driving, hands at 10 and 2, sissy drivers. I've never owned a stock vehicle, did more than my share of..... "competitive driving" shall we say, in my youth, and have a driving record to prove it. But never once have I been in or nearly in an accident. Going that fast on a bike on a public road which quite obviously had side streets or other entrances on it is simply being a smurftard.

I say it all is up to you to watch out for others, I have also never had a stock vehicle or motorcycle. I have done a bunch of stupid crap in my younger days, over 160 in cars and over 190 on bikes. Im not bragging but i have never been in an accident that was my fault. I have been in two wrecks both 45 mph or less and both times a person pulled out in front of me.

Yep, kinda reminds me of a commercial we had here in the States a few years ago.


These 2 kids were smoking pot and pulled out a gun to play with it and supposedly the commercial ended when one accidentally shot the other. Of course that intellectual giant(sarcasm) Ben Maher said that only in America would we blame the pot and not the gun. But he's a mouth breathing idiot too. He just shifted the blame from one inanimate object to another. Instead of blaming the pot OR the gun, common sense would dictate that you blame the idiot who played with the gun. But then again I'm one of those old fashioned people who believes in personal responsibility. How crazy of me.

Now that's an idea I like. Instead of bringing it to schools, etc. just leave the remains of the accidents where they happened. I think that would be much more effective. Go Iceland.
