New Kershaws Coming Out

These are too expensive for me, but I have to admit to liking their looks.  Especially like the design of the Volt.

Kershaw does appear to be way ahead of other manufacturers in composite blade technology.

Hmm, D2 is usually the darker one after acid etch, I wonder on the first two design which steel is on top, since according to the listing format on last design, the 1st steel is the edge, so that means they used CPM D2 on the spine.  ???

Kershaw is getting too form over function for me. The composite blades look good, until you scratch it.

The blade shape of the Volt looks very similar to the Buck Vantage line.

Thanks for the pic's!  Wow quite unique designs there.  I know I saw a proto type speedform on blade forums
but it was not a composite.  It's a design I would look at more closely when it comes available but probably
plain not blended.

Yeah, hopefully Kershaw will eventually offer lower priced versions of these knives.

I might buy a lower priced Volt with plain G10 scales and non-composite blade, because I do like its blade shape and flipper opening.

They're all liner/frame locks.

Prejudiced against liner/frame locks, Spoonrobot?

Those are Kershaw's mainstay locking systems.  They still make a few lockbacks, but not much of a selection.

I'm left-handed. My only Kershaws are the ones with the Hawk-Locks, since they're unintentionally left-handed locks.

We've see quite a resurgence in frame/liner locks, especially titanium, over the past few years. I think it's good for the industry and most of the designs are very nice, I just can't use them. Ditto with the composite blades, all of them have been found on liner/frame locks. I still hold out hope that we'll see some lefty versions of the more popular Kershaw models, similar to the recent lefty Spyderco Military.

Yeah, thought I remembered you being a lefty and figured that might put you off most LL/FL knives.

Was just giving you a hard time.  ;>
