I have many tools, but no represenatives from the SOG line. So, I want a SOG. I really like the idea of the compound leverage and *really* like changeable tools.I'm looking for a beefy model to replace my Wave as 'the heavy duty multitool'. I've looked at the SOG pictures on their website...all the models kinda look the same. Any suggestions?

Hmm. I'm having Woot buyer's remorse. I sure hope I like it, cause otherwise I'll be mad I didn't hold out for a power assist.

Any suggestions? If I were you I would start with a Powerlock without gear covers, and without the new piano locks. You should consider whether you want scissors or a v-cutter, keeping in mind that the SOG scissors don't seem to be popular on the forum here. Gear covers are actually nice but the newer models which have gear covers will also have piano locks which are much harder to use than the standard lock.Once you make decisions on your needs then we can come up with a model number for you to get.I'm thinking you should patrol Ebay, you can get a good used Powerlock for around $35 shipped.
