Rare Duchess model for sale by a member from here. Looks in pristine condition and these are very hard to find. Good luck on the bidding.

Very rare old alox Voyager with scissors and a combo tool. I was and still am bidding on this one but currently another member here has me beat. Maybe on final bid at  the very end of the sale will do it.

Here's one for those with the deepest of pockets:

$900! Thing is, I swear I saw this same knife go up for auction a couple months ago. It sold for something in the $100-$200 range IIRC.

I can verify that. I didn't bid on it at that time because it had worm hole damage on the awl side. It is the same knife.
A little Leatherman information.

I saw this piece listed a month or so ago and am not that impressed with it. I was a little skeptical that it was genuine and maybe it was possibly pieced together as I have not seen a nail file quite like that on a regular "Officier's Knife". I have seen that nail file on smaller 75 mm sized type knives but then again it is entirely possible that it is an all original piece. The tang stamps look right.

Still the price is way off. By the way, this piece was already auctioned off before and ended up with a final price around $130-140 if I remember right so maybe someone backed out or returned it. Here is the original listing;

BINGO! That's it. Like you and Chako, I passed first time around because of the damage and questionable lineage. I'm not saying it's not real, just that I have no way to authenticate. That, and it's really not my thing. See it at a yard sale for $20? Oh, yeah.  Several hundred? Pass.

That said, seeing it back for sale from the same people, at a significantly higher price, makes me wonder if they had a friend put in a shill bid so it didn't sell for less that they expected (the "friend reserve price"). Looking through their feedback and the feedback of the "buyer" back in Sept, they both left positive feedback for each other on the transaction. Yet the same seller has it back up for sale, and the pics in the original auction are now gone. Something doesn't seem right here IMO.

Since the feedback seems to indicate a successful transaction it does seem obvious that a shill bid has been used in this situation and makes me add these 2 buyers/sellers to my "Banned" list.

They just upped the price to $1899. Darn, there goes my chance at getting a good deal. Should have bought when it was only $899.
