Dell had 24" monitors on sale last Monday for $180  -$20 coupon  -$20  rebate   and free shipping = $140

My 18 month old  24" iMac  is on the left and the Dell 24" on the right

iMac has a 1920 x 1200 resolution and the Dell is a 1920 x 1080 resolution

Macs support two monitors with a mini DVI port on the computer, no additional software is needed

two monitors is not really anything special these days, most of the graphics cards I've had in my PCs for the last 8 years have had dual screen capabilities(without extra software...)... in fact ever since I got my Matrox G400-DH around 2000... I admit dual 24inch widescreens looks nice... I've got a single 22inch here, and I keep thinking I need another screen... it was a lot harder when I had CRTs! here is a vintage photo when I had my g400, and a 17 & 14 inch CRT... way back in 2000!
