well im not happy with my serac s3 and im not happy with my bo surge! Has LM changed their type of black finish on these tools? I have another surge bo that i got used and its finish is nice, looks like parkerizing like on military rifles. This one is bad splotchy and transperent in spots. Looks like crap!

Yeah that really is unfortunate.  Will look forward to seeing what they did to it?

its a user so most of its going to get worn off anyway. I was just wondering if LM cheaped out and used a different finish?

Why aren't you satisfied with the Serac 3? My Serac 2 is great other than it missing a permanent lanyard hole (my only gripe).

im not happy with the s3 because it isnt very bright and i find it hard to change the light output on the tailswitch. I usualy end up pushing it to hard.

For the price I think my s3 is great in terms of output. I can easily light up objects 50+ feet away.  As for the tail cap, maybe some of us are just a bit more 'sensitive'  :pok:  :P

Seems really odd. Mine causes retina damage :D

It's my favourite light by far, I find the tail switch perfect, very responsive and the force needed is very different than that needed to actually switch it on or off. You just need to tap it.
I used to come here a lot.
