Ok to deal with the sheath first , that is the std sheath the RS comes with in the UK . I am lucky enough to have a mate and fellow crew member who lives about 400 yards up the road who works for a hardware store that deals with Burton McCall the UK importers for Victorinox and he can get me Vic stuff at cost price  ;D Now I dont abuse this and only get a couple or three knives a year from him . So the RS kind of arrived rather quick with no postage  ;) Judging by the date on the user guide ( 2007) this ones hot off the press  ;D
Thargor I think your best bet would be Tim ( felinevet ) failing that ebay has RS models at under £50 incl postage .I'd rather not say how much my RS cost cause if I said £32.80 you might be a bit upset  :o But like I said its not something I like to abuse , he would get fired if found out to be making a profit and he doesnt make anything out of me , its just something he does as a mate .
I like the look of some of the other sheaths in nylon but they arent available here .I would love a horizontal carry option .

In the UK they are- that's why they cost so much more over there.  They tried it in the US but by the time they put enough warning labels on the package there wasn't room for the flares! :P

Mine's a standard too...  wish I could get one of the others in black though.

A black Spirit would be cool too... would match my black spirit! :P

Its a bit sketchy but I think there are several countries that use Victorinox multitools for military use , Australia for one but its realy hard to find out the others  :(  Is there some way we can find out the other military users ? Maybe this would warant its own thread but the info seems to be hard to come by  :(  From what I can gather there is quite a few countries who use Victorinox for thier armed forces . I would love to find out more .

Lastly, here's a shot showing the difference in tools on an Original and the RS.

Good thing I don't have an X model because I dunno how the hell I'd work it in!

I like Nolife02 the best...it has a pleasing symmetry that I find appealing. Stylish, tasteful, with just a hint of non-conformist. Definitely avant-garde.

Rust?  On a SwissTool?

You know better than that! :P

It's just dried up oil and wiped off in seconds.
