I ground the nub off of my CT34, and immediately regretted it. I like modifying, but the ground off nub was rough and I had no way to restore 4 mil finish that Vic puts on their tools. I will never do it again.
The keyring nub sucks (IMO LOL). But how to carry the alox sak (farmer, in my case) without it? I wouldn't risk having a SAK without a lanyard when for example canoeing. Sheath is not an option not only because I hate them but also because I usually don't have any belt on me when in a canoe or a ship in general.

I've got a red neck (lol) lanyard - paracord with a victorinox carabiner, I attach the carabiner to the knife and put it under my shirt so it won't fly around.PS: I'm talking about my Camper or Huntsman.

For others mod liners and loop lanyard under the hook or corkscrew etc.

For others mod liners and loop lanyard under the hook or corkscrew etc.Thank you for your answer, good ideas. I wish I know - where to get the hollow rivet and the ending (I don't know how's the name of the part that goes on the end of the rivet).- how to remove the current rivet and install the hollow one (do I have to disassemble the whole knife? or can I just carefully remove the one rivet and put in the hollow one without disassembling the rest of the knife?)- could I put the hollow rivet anywhere? I would prefer to put it on the other side than where the blades tip is.- are those hollow rivets as strong as the full ones?I only refer to alox models, I've got no trouble with the keyring nub on the cellidor/nylone ones ...
I would ask magentus, he's done it.
This is why I bought my Wenger SI. I love the bail on the end versus that nub on my Pioneer. Like others, the nub on my various cellidor SAKs doesn't bug me. I would like it removed on my Vic Centurion...(Image removed from quote.)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A saw and scissors would make it perfect I think!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did use a vice, an iron saw (is that the correct term for a saw which saws iron stuff? lol) and a file. But now, I'm missing the keyring ... Quote from: zrxoa1 on May 07, 2017, 06:24:25 PMA saw and scissors would make it perfect I think!Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYup. Although for me having a Farmer w/o the nub and with a hollow rivet (and bail) on the side the blade axis is would be more than enough ...

No, it was a Rambler. Seriously though I didn't need the LM even, could have done it easily just with the Vic nail file. Couldn't believe how good it was!
Yup.
