Actually the CT29 is the smallest of the CyberTool line and it does not have pliers or scissors. I have one and it is very handy but I carry and use my CT34 much more.
Here are all the CT's lined up for size comparison.

My Cybertimer (Cybertool) 41 is an extremely handy SAK. It's too big for pocket carry, but works out well, because I use the pen frequently.  In a velcro sheath, it is much more convenient to get to than if it were in a pocket.

Maybe it's just me, but I really can't write well (even notes) with the pen in the Plus scales, despite always preferring Plus scales over regular.  I know of the hook trick, but that would just make writing that much more difficult for me.  For those whom can use the provided Plus pen with some ability, do you guys (and girls) have shorter fingers?  My long, thin fingers mean the pen is horrible for me. :/

I don't write anything really detailed with it, but it works fine for me.  My hands are pretty small though, probably compared to yours.  It works just fine to jot down a quick reminder, but I don't use it often.

Most of my use involves signing reports, initialling documents and jotting down telephone numbers.

i to say Trail gUide with the philips/corkscrew swap... but if you are going for a tinker go the 84mm

the other idea is a Compact... with a philips swap
or a Waiter knife +combo tool ...with philips swap (aka apprentice)

If you are after the uncomplicated but mucho-screwdrivers thing just get a plain Compact and put one of these on the keyring

not the best image but it has two flat screwdrivers and two phillips... its coin sized ( i would say One brazilian Real but you can imagine a Euro dollar... but thinner)

The small flat s the same profile as the small on the canopener (or on a classic)
the large flat is the same profile as the bottle opener
The small phillips is the same profile as the mini philips on a Rambler
The large philips is the same profile as the philips on a tinker.

I have tested one out on a Suzuki 4wd Carburetor and pulling apart an ipod nano. They work as well as there full bodied sak counterparts. I keep one on the keyring with my sak (and another on my anklet....)

You can get these things real cheap on eBay for like a couple of bucks. They do the job in a pinch and are very flat and easy to add to your EDC ring stuff.

cheers for that neil,i did just check my local camping shop but nothing there, although did walk out with a SAK catalog and he is getting me a wenger one , but thats a good price neil plus a few extras

Just like to add to two saks to the list

if you are thinking an alox cadet then dont foget the sportsman.. you get tweezers/toothpick awl ad the option to swa out the corkscrew for a philips (surely some one in the uk could do it for a few quid )

Also if you are geting the 4 sided screwdiver don't dismiss an Executive.

In fact you get a better file, 2 straight blades, a serrated blade with screwdriver, scissors... and still takes up lest space then a tinker small.

since getting the rally laast week and putting it on my key chain ive been looking at the smaller range of SAK's and although had scissors but is very compact what about the mini champ   looks a nice little tool,plus has the same phillips bottle opener combo as the rally,

shown next to the wifes SL , the rally has a small file+flathead, small blade,Phillips,bottle opener,tweezers and toothpick, TBH i wasnt sure of size just smaller than the climber, but ive started to like this small size, so possibly size isnt everything lol  also like the mini champ

If it's going to be the only SAK you carry I'd definitely go with the Cadet as well.  The blades on the 58mm are just to small to be the only one you have on you IMO.

If, on the other hand, you're going to carry a second SAK/Multi then the Rambler makes for a great little companion piece.

the only time gareth ill have a larger SAK is while camping or out on my mtb as its lighter than the wave i usually carry,the climber has been a great tool, but i need a smaller one i can carry everyday on my key chain, so i think  your right the cadet is spot on for me,
