SAK's mini screw
on: December 15, 2009, 02:01:12 PM
Just bought a miniscrew for the Wenger Ranger I acquired recently.
I noticed that there's a 'PAT' (Patented?) on the two of my six minis. Do you have the same?
Sorry for the poor pics, its late here already.

It just means they are slightly older than the others.  Vic dropped the "pat" mark quite recently.  have a look near the bottom of this page.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Look at the pics on the page Gareth links to - there's a great progression of the mini screwdriver. Best I can tell, there is one more version - the oldest, which is the screwdriver with the wedge tip and no "Pat" on it. This is what several of my mid-80s knives have.

Where did you buy those mini screw drivers, Gene? I bought mine from Cutting Edge last weekend and there's no "PAT" marking on it.

It also fits on Wenger Evo corkscrew.
